Ground Collection to Bolster Foundation’s Charity Support
Blues fans are being urged to give generously to a ground collection at our home fixture against Bournemouth on Saturday October 25 which will raise much needed funds for a number of local charities supported by the EZE Group Foundation.
The club’s diamond partner EZE Group has organised the ground collection with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Trust and Caudwell Children being among those charities to benefit. The charity team at QEHB is dedicated to improving the experience of patients, their families and the staff who care for them at the Queen Elizabeth Hospitals.
Thanks to the generous support of donors like the EZE Group Foundation, hospitals are able to provide a level of patient care beyond what NHS funding alone can deliver.
Over recent months the charity has launched a partnership with Ladies Fighting Breast cancer which aims to raise £1 million to bring screening and treatment services together in a fantastic new environment at the hospital.
In the summer, supporters also welcomed the Prince of Wales to open Fisher House, a ‘home from home’ for the loved ones of military patients being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. The 18-bedroom facility offers comfort and emotional support to the families.
Latest charity supported
Caudwell Children, a charity committed to changing the lives of disabled children, is the latest good cause to receive the support of the EZE Group Foundation. Since its formation in March 2000, Caudwell Children has provided services worth over £27million to thousands of children with over 500 different medical conditions. Its seven core services – Family Support, Equipment, Treatment, STEP, ACT, Enable Sport and Destination Dreams – play a vital role in improving the well being of sick and disabled children across the UK. Caudwell Children is widely recognised as one of the country’s fastest growing children’s charities. Since its inception, the charity has doubled every pound raised, achieved through supplier partnerships, which means every pound donated works even harder.
Last season a ground collection organised by EZE Group raised more than £2,400 for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the armed forces charity.
Dominic O’Reilly, CEO of EZE Group, said: “The collection last season was one of the best ever and we’re hoping Blues fans will once again dig deep to support a number of very worthy local causes.”
